Commission Sales

Do you have a guitar or other musical equipment that you want to part with but don’t want the hassle of an online marketplace?

If so we can help!

Here at Stage Guitar Service we have over 15 years experience in selling vintage and used guitars, amps & accessories and one of the services we offer is commission sales. Here's a few points regarding selling on commission at Stage Guitar Service...

Commission

We take 20% from the sale price. Once the item sells we will contact you to inform you of the sale. Then we make a bank transfer of the funds!

What you get for the commission

  • We have all items on display in our shop in Rehetobel for customers to try

  • this takes away the stress of having to arrange viewings etc

  • We list each item on our website and we also post on our social media pages

  • We take professional, hi-res photos of each item

  • Each item is fully insured whilst in the shop and in transit

  • Each item is offered with a full complimentary setup

  • Each pre-owned item has a 3 month limited warrantee

Conditions of Acceptance

We do not put every item on sale. Since we also offer new products for sale, we have to be careful not to compete with ourselves, so the following acceptance conditions apply:

  • The Item should have a sales value of more than CHF 1,000

  • The item must be your property

  • Each item is prepared for sale according to our criteria, which in most cases includes service, cleaning and any repairs. In the case of guitars, we are doing this in advance, but in the case of tube amplifiers which are reworked by our external specialist technician, we will have to charge the service costs immediately!

  • WHETHER A SERVICE IS NECESSARY OR NOT IS OURSELVES TO DECIDE!

  • Upon receipt of the commission contract, additional costs for service work will be listed on a separate invoice.

  • The item must be physically delivered to us.

  • It may take 2-4 weeks for the article to be presented.

You would like to advertise your item elsewhere

Of course, you can still offer your equipment for sale yourself! However, the item has to be physically in our shop and we kindly ask that you don't list your instrument on Swiss selling platform as eBay, Ricardo or Tutti (we do not sell cheap items where you can haggle over the price...)

Charges to remove your item from sale

If you do want to take the item back, we charge a flat fee of CHF 50 for the sales effort and any service costs for the sales preparation.
